Our Dream Has Come True!
The Friends of the La Veta Library worked hard over the Spring of 2011 to raise money to purchase a building for The Book Nook. That Dream has now come true! We moved into our new home in June and have really enjoyed getting to know our new space. Mostly, we really appreciate the fact that we won't have to move these books again for a long, long time... All of our work is for the The La Veta Public Library, which truly is the the heart and soul of La Veta. Along with Charlie’s, the Post Office, and the Ryus Ave. Bakery it is where much of the activity in town comes together.
Folks here and worldwide have helped to make our dream come true... We raised most of the money through book sales, events and grants. And now with the help of neighbors far and wide, through generous donations and a wonderful Wine Tasting at the La Veta Inn, we have pushed ourselves over the top... and put this tiny little bookstore back on the map.

Through the donations of books, our shelves can remain full through-out the year.
